Finding Bigfoot Festival in Willow Creek April 26

Animal Planet filming special episode during Finding Bigfoot Festival in Willow Creek Saturday, April 29

On Saturday, April 29, Willow Creek will be hosting the Finding Bigfoot Festival at Veteran’s Park to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the world-famous Patterson-Gimlin film. The film, shot in 1967 outside Orleans, CA, is alleged to depict a female Bigfoot.  Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot television show will be shooting a special two-hour episode during the festival.

Festival activities include a parade starting at 10 AM at the Bigfoot Museum, a large Kid’s Zone, music performances by Jimi Jeff & The Gypsy Band, Crooked Trees, Ju Drum and more, vendors, a live broadcast by KSLG, and Bigfoot competitions. The competitions, which will be judged by the cast of Finding Bigfoot, include Best Bigfoot Call, Best Bigfoot Knocking, Most Authentic Footprint, and more. Fans will also get a chance to meet the cast of Finding Bigfoot, including local James “Bobo” Fay.

Finding Bigfoot is a documentary television series on Animal Planet. The program follows four researchers and explorers investigating potential evidence of Bigfoot, a cryptid hominid allegedly living in the wildernesses of the United States and Canada. While the Finding Bigfoot team have not yet captured photographic evidence of the creature’s existence, the show continues production because it has high ratings and is a top earner for Animal Planet.
